I am Robert “Robi” Taylor, owner of BarNone K9, LLC. Like most, my love for dogs began at an early age. I had three golden retrievers growing up, but it was not until I was 29 years old that I acquired my own dog, Nala. Little did I know; my life was about to change dramatically.

I was clueless on how to properly train my dog and it was embarrassing. I became obsessed with learning anything and everything I could to teach my puppy. I became so consumed with dogs that I began to volunteer at local shelters, obtain apprenticeships under local trainers, work with police K9’s, and anything else that would benefit me as a dog enthusiast. Each day, my passion for learning about dogs was growing and I knew I wanted to take the next step and turn my passion into a career.

As I was concluding my career in the United States Air Force, I was certain of the path I was going to pursue. I enrolled into the most accredited dog training school, StarMark Academy in Austin, Texas. Upon finishing the academy, I was one of three individuals selected to apprentice in their training department. During my nine-month apprenticeship, I had the opportunity to expand my experience with training over 300 dogs in agility, behavior modifications, dock diving, obedience training from novice to advanced, nosework, trick training, and much more!

Upon returning to Las Vegas, I considered working for a big-box dog training facility where I could continue to gain experience while feeling safe, working 9-5. Very quickly, I realized several of the large, well-known facilities care more about money and not their clients. I knew I could offer so much more to the dog community by working on my own. It was then I decided to open BarNone K9 and I haven’t looked back since!

Since opening BarNone K9, I have continued to expand my education by attending another accredited K9 school(explosive detection), multiple seminars, online classes, and case studies. My most recent accomplishent was winning Season 3 of A&E’s “America’s Top Dog.”
