Most new puppy owners wait far too long to start properly socializing or training their puppies. Many owners don’t consider puppy training until problems arise, causing them to miss a crucial window that will only do you and your puppy a disservice in the future.

My main goal with young puppies is to allow them to experience as many different sights, sounds, people, animals, surfaces, environments, and more. We do this to help increase the likelihood of a well-balanced and confident dog. In addition to exposing your pup to the variety of environments, my puppy training focuses on providing a great foundation of basic behaviors. This combination can save dog owners a lot of headaches in the years to come!

If a new puppy owner is too focused on obedience commands such as “sit,” “down,” “stay,” “heel,” etc., the puppy can become very overwhelmed and may not enjoy training, especially if the communication isn’t clear – 99.9% of the time. For that reason, during the early training, we prioritize exposure to different environments, stable mindset, and confidence building over obedience. When it’s time to start to working on obedience, I tend to keep sessions very short and extremely fun!
